2012
Architect:
Glenn Howells Architects
Structural Engineer:
Ramboll UK
This is a 27-storey slender high-rise tower for high-end student accomodation, in the heart of the King's Cross regeneration development.
The structure is a reinforced concrete frame, with flat slabs and founded on piles.
Wind-tunnel testing and finite element analysis was required to validate the lateral stability and user experience of this slender building and asymmetric architecture.
AJ100 Awards 2014 - Value Excellence Award Judges.
With thanks to Ramboll for allowing the use of this project.
