Elwick Place

Year:

2017

Architect:

Guy Holloway Architects

Structural Engineer:

Waterman Group

This is a new-build cinema and liesure complex in the heart of Kent, and was designed to BIM Level 2 standards.

The structure is of steel and composite construction, with reinforced concrete cores, to provide stability against wind loads and founded on piles. Careful structural detailing and consideration was given to limit the impact of ground-born vibrations, from the nearby high-speed rail lines on the cinemas.

With thanks to Waterman Group for allowing the use of the 3D model image and Guy Holloway Architects for supporting the use of the Photographs.
